Tucked away behind the ramparts of a medieval town, this is a charming, comfortable apartment , equipped with all modern conveniences and boasting a large garden.

Châtillon-sur-Indre is a quiet small town of 3000 inhabitants centred around the town's 12th century feudal donjon (fortified tower). The first mention of the town goes back to 9th century. Châtillon sur Indre has seen some important developments : it was the base of the king's representative for justice, there was the inauguration of a Presidential Court here, and its parish was placed under the diocese of Bourges. These tributes gave Chatillon status and wealth. With a Château of the 13th century, a collegiate church and a donjon, all of which are classified as ancient monuments. Together with its renaissance houses in the town centre, this medieval town has history on every corner.

Like lots of rural France, Châtillon offers artisanal bakers, butchers and grocers. Plus pharmacies, super markets etc. With a small range of restaurants, bars and deli style shops. You can find a list of these in the activities section.

There are no nightclubs or techno festivals in Châtillon. It really is a place to come and enjoy the peace, quiet and gentle way of life. The ideal spot to leave the hustle and bustle of the world behind and recharge your batteries.

There is so much to do in the surrounding area, from the world-famous Beauval Zoo, stunning chateaux, Michelin star restaurants and the tranquillity of the Brenne nature park a short drive away. Details of which can be found below.
